  1. Go to the "Sites" section on the left side menu.
  2. Navigate to the "Client Portal" at the top.
  3. Click on "Generate magic link" at the bottom of the Client Portal dashboard screen.
  4. In the pop-up window, leave it set to "Contact"
  5. Enter the contact's name or email address to pull them up.
  6. Click on the contact's name from the drop-down list.
    1. Optionally, click on "Send Email" to send the system-generated email template with the magic link.
  7. Click the "Generate" button to create the magic link.
  8. Copy the generated magic link by clicking on the square icon next to it on the right.
  9. Paste the magic link into an email or text to send it to the contact.
  10. Optional: Use a incognito browser to test the magic link and ensure a seamless login.

Please Note: The email template for the magic link is not customizable.

Troubleshooting

A magic link will not work for a contact if they have not been added to your client portal. If you grant them access to a course or community group within your client portal, the magic link you send them will automatically log them in.


When testing, when I click on a magic link, it shows all the courses the contact should not have access to.

This is an Admin privilege; when you click on a Magic Link, while being logged in as an Admin, it will automatically log you in as someone with access to all courses. If you want to do some testing, try opening the magic link in an incognito browser window.
