Merging Contacts
In this article, we'll be showing you how to merge multiple contacts.
How to Merge Contacts
Key Steps
- Navigate to the Contacts Section
- Log into your FG Funnels account.
Click on the "Contacts" section located in the left-hand column.
- Select Contacts to Merge
- Review the list of contacts displayed.
Select up to 10 contacts you wish to merge by clicking the checkbox next to each contact.
- Initiate Merge Process
Click on the "Merge Up to 10 Contacts" icon.
- Choose Master Contact
- Identify the contact that will serve as the "Master" contact.
By default, the first selected contact is the master, but you can change this by selecting another contact.
- Select Information to Merge
Review the fields displayed for each selected contact.
For each field, decide which information you want to pull into the master contact:
- Check the boxes for the fields you want to keep.
Uncheck any fields you do not wish to include.
- Review All Fields
- Switch to the "All Fields" tab if you need to review all available fields in the system.
Select additional fields as necessary.
- Merge Contacts
- Ensure that a primary email is selected for the master contact.
- Click the "Merge Contacts" button.
A confirmation screen will appear; read the information carefully.
- Confirm Merge Action
- Check the box acknowledging that this action cannot be reversed.
Click "Merge Contacts" to finalize the process.
- Completion
- Wait for the confirmation that the contacts have been successfully merged.
- Review the merged contact to ensure all desired information has been retained.
Cautionary Notes
- Ensure that you do not exceed merging more than 10 contacts at once.
- Double-check that the primary email is selected; the merge will not proceed without it.
- Merging contacts cannot be undone, so ensure all selections are correct before confirming the merge.
