How To Migrate Your Domain Hostnames To Cloudflare
Purpose of Domain Migration
- All domain connections migrated to Cloudflare for benefits like speed upgrades, security shields, smart caching, prevention of DDOS attacks, SSL certificate generation, etc.
- This was a change that was made on the FG Funnels side only.
A and CNAME records changed during migration and need to be updated on your domain to take advantage of these benefits.
- Preparation Before Clicking Migrate Domain Button
Log in to where DNS records are managed.
- Executing Migration
- Click on "Migrate Domain" button from Settings -> Domains.
- Depending on where your records are managed, you may have the option to add records manually or use the Domain Connect feature which will add the records for you.
- If you are using the Domain Connect feature, proceed through the steps of the wizard.
- Verify records that will be added.
- Authorize the new records to replace the old ones.
- Confirm authorization and resolve any conflicts.
- If you need to manually change the records, follow the records given to change your A record and www CNAME record in your DNS manager and save.
- The new A record is now 162.159.140.166, and the CNAME record is now sites.ludicrous.cloud.
Click Verify Records and wait for the changes to be reflected.
- Post-Migration Steps
- Migration process completes after authorizing the changes.
- Note: For domains with WWW setup within FG Funnels, both A and CNAME records will be replaced automatically.
For manual addition of CNAME record, access DNS records, add CNAME record for WWW, and save changes.
