How to Reset the Password for Your Student / Member

This article goes over how to reset the password for a student or member in your course or community group.

Key Steps:

  1. Click on "Contacts" on the left side menu.
  2. Search for the student/member by entering their name or email address.
  3. Click on the student/member's name to access their contact record.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click on "Change Password."
  5. Click "generate a strong password" or enter a custom password.
  6. Check the box labeled "Also, send an email notification" to send a system-generated email
    1. Or leave this box unchecked in order to send your own custom email with the new password. Make sure to copy the password in the "Reset Password" pop up to include in the email template.
  7. Click on the "Reset Password" button to complete the process.
