Delivery of Digital Products for Online Stores

Store owners can now seamlessly deliver digital products to their customers. Upon purchase, customers will receive instant access to their products via a secure download link sent directly to their email inbox. Store owners can manage digital files to be delivered after purchase, through the individual product's settings. Digital file can be securely downloaded by the customers via the Customer Access Center through the OTP login flow.

How to Use This Feature:

Note: Supported file types include images, audio, video, documents, and ZIP files.


How to Enable the Confirmation Email ( Download Delivery Email )


1) Go to Payments on the left side menu.


2) Click on Settings in the top menu.


3) Go to Notifications.


4) Go to the "Order Confirmation Email for Stores" section. Toggle ON the "Enable Order Confirmation Email" setting. This will enable delivery of digital products via email.

Please Note: The "Confirmation" email cannot be customized at this time.


5) Click on the "Save" button.



How to Add Your Files to Your Product

While creating products you can add the type of product as either Physical or Digital by following the steps below:

If you have not created a product before please follow the steps in the first 4 minutes of the video here: About Products + Order Forms, before proceeding with the steps below.


1) Go to Payments on the left side.


2) Click on Products at the top.


3) Select the product you want to update the tax settings for.


4) Scroll down to the "Variants" section, and click on the price name.

Note: The product in this screenshot only has one variant, but you can add multiple variant for the same product if you want to. This feature allows you to create different variants of Physical or Digital products. Example: If you are selling books, you can create variants like an E-book, Audiobook, and Physical book.


5) Scroll down to the "Shipping and Delivery" section.


6) Click anywhere inside the "Click to Upload" box to upload your files.

Important Note: For "Digital Products" you can upload up to 10 files, each with a maximum size of 100 MB. If you need to upload more than 10 files, you can create a ZIP file that is under 100 MB , then upload the Zip files. Supported file types include images, audio, video, documents, and ZIP files.


7) Click the "Upload" button inside of your media storage.


8) Select the PDF file(s) from your computer, and click "Open" ( or just double click on the file ).


9) Double click on the file(s) that you just uploaded to your media storage.


10) Now you have added the file to your product. It will look similar to this:


11) Remember to scroll down and click "Save" after uploading the files.




How the Customer Can Access the Digital Download File



1) After completing the checkout process, customers will receive an "Order Confirmation" email, which will include an "Access Downloads" button, so they can click on the button to access their digital files.



2) Clicking the "Access Downloads" button will direct customers to the "Customer Access Center," where they can log in by using an OTP code, which will be sent to the email address they used during checkout.

Please Note: The "Customer Access Center" cannot be customized at this time.



    • The customer can click on the "Access Downloads" button in the email.


    • The customer will be taken to the "Customer Access Center" where they can login to download the digital product they just bought.


    • The customer will enter their email address.


    • Then the customer can click the login button


    • The customer will receive an OTP email.


    • The customer will enter the OTP on the login screen, then click "Submit."


    • Now, the customer will be logged in to the "Customer Access Center" , and they will be able to download the digital product file(s).

Customers can also access their digital downloads directly via the following unique URL:

Important Notes:


  • Digital product delivery is only available for orders placed through an online store.


  • The "Confirmation" email that delivers the digital download cannot be customized at this time.

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) will not be applicable, if any product in the order is digital.


  • No shipping fees apply to digital products. If a physical product is in the cart, standard shipping charges will be calculated.


  • If a physical product is purchased using COD, digital upsell products must be paid for with alternative online payment methods.


  • You can upload a maximum of 10 files, with each file limited to 100 MB.


  • You will need to make sure that the "Enable Order Confirmation Email" Toggle is turned On to allow delivery of digital products via email. This setting is located under Payments > Settings > Notifications > "Order Confirmation Email for Stores" section.


  • Customers can log in to the "Customer Access Center" to download their files.


  • All the files will get downloaded at once as separate files and not as a zipped file.


  • The "Customer Access Center" cannot be customized at this time.


  • All digital products in an order will be automatically be set to a "fulfilled" status with fulfilment details as empty fields.
