Creating Pages for Your Legal Policies in FG Funnels
You can create pages within a funnel or a website in FG Funnels to host your legal policies, such as your Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You can then link to these pages from other funnel and website pages.
It is important to note that we are not lawyers and cannot give legal advice. We cannot advise on the legality, completeness or content of any policies. This article is simply intended to show you how to build the pages where you policies will live.
There are a number of options for your legal policies that may or may not fit your business including online generators, templates that were built by lawyers, such as the Contract Shop and working 1 on 1 with a lawyer to create these policies.
You can either start with a blank funnel or clone an existing funnel to build your pages. We recommend having a separate legal policies funnel that houses all of your policies for easy reference for your whole business.
For the sake of this tutorial, we are going to clone an existing funnel that is already updated to our brand.
Find the funnel that you want to clone to create your legal policies funnels from Sites -> Funnels. Click the three dots next to the funnel and select Clone.
Rename your funnel and click Confirm.
Open the funnel and delete any pages that are not going to be used as a base for your legal policy pages. This could be an order form page, a sales page, etc. For this tutorial we are using the OTO page as the base, so we will remove all other pages.
- Go to the Publishing link in the top right of the white box and change the step name and step URL to reflect your first legal page.
For example, you might make the Step Name Privacy Policy and Step URL would be /privacy-policy . Once you have added that, go ahead and save.
Open the builder and find a section that has a text element or something similar that you want to use as your base. Hover over all other sections and click on the trashcan to delete them until you only have your base section and footer.
Replace the text in your base section with the content of your first legal policy, adding elements and headlines where needed. Move sections as needed as well. Save as you go.
Customize your footer with your business information. We will come back and link up the footer once all pages are done.
- Once have finished the page and everything is finalized, save the page and then back out of the builder back to the funnel overview page.
Then from that step, choose Clone Funnel Step in the bottom right of the white box.
Select Clone Step in this funnel.
After cloning with the clone selected, go to Publishing and rename and change URL and save.
Open the cloned page in the builder and switch out the text for the next policy. Your format and styling will be retained meaning you can easily just change out the text. Save as you go and before you leave the page.
- Repeat steps 8-12 for as many legal policies as you have.
Once you have finished adding all of your pages, from the funnel overview page, select Settings from right below the title of the funnel. From the right hand column, select the dropdown for domain and select the domain you want your legal policies to live on. Click Save.
Copy the URL for each page from the step area.
Open one of the pages and edit the footer, linking the text title of each page to the page itself. If your footer is a global footer and outlined in purple, doing this once will update the footer on all pages in the funnel where the global footer is added.
- Save and publish your funnel.
- Use the step URL anywhere you need to link to that specific legal page across funnels and websites.
