How to Set Up Free Shipping for a Zero Dollar Checkout


1. Access Payment Settings

  • Click on Payments in the left side menu.

  • Click on Settings at the top.


2. Configure Shipping and Delivery

  • Click on Shipping and Delivery on the left.


3. Create a Custom Shipping Profile

  • Click to add a custom profile for free shipping.

  • Label it (e.g., Free Shipping for Specific Product).


4. Select the Store to Apply This Profile

  • Click on the store dropdown, and select the Stores you would prefer to apply this custom profile to.


5. Add Products to the Profile

  • Click the "Add Product" button and select the products you would like to apply this custom profile to.


6. Add a Zone

  • Click Add Zone and select the location(s) you want this shipping profile to apply to.


7. Set Up Free Shipping Rate

  • Click the three dots and select Edit.

    Click Add Rate for free shipping:

    • Label it appropriately.

      Leave the amount blank for free shipping.

      Check the box for Conditional Pricing and set:

      • Minimum Price: $0
      • Maximum Price: $0.01.
    • Click the Add button.

8. Add Shippo Rate [[ This Step is Only for People Using the Shippo Integration ]]

  • Click Add Rate again.
  • Select Use Carrier or App to Calculate Rate and choose Shippo.
  • Optionally add a handling fee, then click Add and Save.


9. Verify Product Settings

  • Go to the product settings under Payments > Products.

  • Pull up the products you added to your custom shipping profile.

    • Once you select the product, you can scroll down to the Price section [ or variants section if you have variants ].
    • Click the 3 dots to the right of a price or variant, then click Edit to access the shipping settings.


  • Ensure the products are marked as a Physical product and enter their weight and dimensions. Then click Save.


10. Test the Free Shipping Setup

  • Go to Settings in your online store.
  • Change Payment Mode from Live (blue) to Test (gray) and click Save.
  • Copy the product list page URL and open it in an incognito browser.
  • Add the product to the cart and proceed to checkout.
  • Apply the 100% off coupon

  • Apply your coupon code at checkout (only one coupon can be applied).
  • Ensure the total shows as $0 after applying the coupon.

11. Confirm Free Shipping Option

  • Check that the free shipping option appears alongside other shipping options.
  • Select free shipping and confirm the total is $0.
