Setting Up LC Phone For Your Account - For US/Canada Phone Numbers

This article walks you through purchasing a phone number for LC Phone and filling out your Trust Center registration.

Steps to Set Up LC Phone

  1. Fill out your business profile if you haven't already. Under Settings -> Business Profile, fill out the information in the General Information, Business Physical Address, Authorized Representative (use a phone number that isn't your LC Phone number that you are setting up) and Business Information. Under Business Information, the registration ID will be dependent on your region. Click Update Information for each section you are updating.

  2. Click into Phone Numbers and select Add Number -> Add Phone Number

  3. Select your region and click Filter to Search by Area Code if you want your phone number to have a certain area code.

  4. When the results display, you will see a list of numbers, along with additional details including the monthly price.

  5. Select the number you would like to purchase and click Proceed to Buy. This will charge you for the monthly price immediately. This is in addition to the cost of the individual text messages and calls.

  6. Once the phone number is added to your account, there will be a blue add button to the right of the number. Click this to add this number for use in FG Funnels.

  7. Click the three dots next to the phone number and click Edit Configuration.

  8. This screen is where you will be able to adjust the settings for your phone number.
    1. You can set up a forwarding number, like your personal phone for calls to ring through to, pass called number as your caller ID to show you your LC Phone number as the caller ID rather than your customer's number, use your verified number as the CallerID for your outbound calls.
    2. You can enable the call connect feature which requires a button to be pressed to connect the call. The whisper message will be played before pressing the button to connect.
    3. You can enable call recording will record the call to your contact record.
    4. Finally, your timeout settings can be updated.

  9. Finally, you will want to go to the Trust Center and submit your Business Profile and start your A2P DLC registration. A walkthrough of this process is below in Trust Center Overview.

Please note, we are not lawyers and cannot provide any legal advice about registering your business.

Important: All phone numbers sending messages to US numbers now need to be registered or else messages will fail. All of the information you need to register as an LC Phone user is listed below in this lesson.

Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind as you fill out your registration, to ensure your application is approved as quickly as possible:

  • If you have an EIN, make sure all the business info you enter matches your EIN info the government has on file *exactly*. Like every comma, period, apostrophe, etc.
    • Refer to your CP575 document to help
    • If you’ve changed address or other listed info since registering your EIN, do not enter that new info unless you have updated the info with the IRS and they have that matching info on file for your EIN. You want to ensure the info you submit matches exactly what is listed on your EIN paperwork.
  • Make sure you are sending in compliance (people are explicitly opting in, intro message includes identification of who is sending and tells them how they can opt out) and provide links to your opt-in forms so they can click and see you have a checkbox on the form for people to confirm they are opting into SMS, or that your chat widget lets them know their phone number will be used to reply via SMS, etc.
  • If you aren’t sure about something, do not submit the application until you confirm all details. You cannot edit your application. You will have to wait for it to be denied and then re-apply.
  • Approval can take some time, especially if anything is flagged for manual review. Current wait times for manual review are 5-6 weeks.

Trust Center Overview

Trust Center (Is only available for accounts with the country set to the US) provides products that can improve customer engagement through brand recognition.

The video near the top of the page walks through the Business Profile step. You no longer need to fill this out. You DO need to register your brand and campaign for A2P 10DLC registration.


To access the available Trust Center products, below are the steps:

  1. Fill in all the required fields on the Business Profile section of your account.
  2. Register for A2P Brand and Campaign


To access the available Trust Center products, the first step would be to "fill in all the required fields on the Business Profile section of your account".

The following fields need to be filled out to move forward with Trust Center Products.

Business Information:

  1. Legal Business Name
  2. Business Physical Address (Street Address, City, State/Province/Region, Postal Code, Country)
  3. Business Type (Sole Proprietorship/Partnership/Corporation /Co-Operative/LLC/Non-Profit)
  4. Business Registration Number/Tax EIN and Type (DUNS or Business License)
  5. Industry
  6. Website
  7. Regions of Operations

Authorized Representative:

  1. Name
  2. Email
  3. Title
  4. Phone Number
  5. Job Position (Director/VP/GM/General Counsel/CEO/CFO)

Please note:

If you have a US entity or an International Tax ID, use EIN to register your business profile and to avoid brand registration failures. Do not use a DUNS number.


Fill in Your Business Details

  • Go to Settings (bottom corned of the left side menu) > Phone Numbers (left side menu) > Trust Center (tab at the top).
  • Select Start Registering Now. This will start the process to register your newly created Business Profile for A2P 10DLC capabilities by creating a US A2P brand. This step will register your business for US A2P10DLC capabilities. This is now a requirement for businesses sending text messages.

  • Answer the questions on the Profile Needs page to determine the correct registration type and click continue.

  • Fill in your business details and click continue. Be sure to fill in exactly as the details are listed on your US EIN listing and CP575, including spaces, punctuation etc. A mismatch will cause your registration to fail. See the Best Practices article for more.

Fill in Your Brand Details

  • Select your business use case between Low Volume Standard and High Volume Standard.
  • Check the box to acknowledge that you understand the fees associated with the process.
  • Click continue.

  • Fill out your messaging use case. Please be specific and take your time filling this out. You can see examples both in above the text boxes for each one. Additionally, we have tips in the article A2P 10DLC Campaign Approval Best Practices.

  • Fill in the user consent details. Again, make sure to look at the examples and our best practices.

  • When you have filled out the application to the best of your abilities, click the blue submit button at the bottom of the window. This will charge the registration fee and submit your application for approval.
  • Once it has been submitted, you will see a success message with next steps.

Checking Your A2P Status

Once you have submitted your brand and campaign registration, the status of the applications will be shown on the Trust Center screen. You may see Pending/Under Review, Rejected or Approved. If it is Rejected, there should be a rejection reason underneath that tells why the application was rejected so you know what to revise.

Once both items are showing approved and you have a verified tag next to A2P messaging, your A2P process is complete for this campaign.

Pricing for A2P Brand and Campaign

You will be charged a one-time standard brand registration fee of $4.45 + a one time camping fees of $16.50, afterward there will be a monthly campaign fee which will be around $1.50 to $11.50 based on the campaign use case. At times both the charges (one-time and monthly) will be grouped and you can see a charge as high as $15.5 USD.
