Registration For A2P 10DLC

Important: The A2P 10DLC regulations are in full effect and business phone numbers must be approved for messages to send. All of the information you need to register as Twilio user is in the video below in this lesson.

Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind as you fill out your registration, to ensure your application is approved as quickly as possible:

  • If you have an EIN, make sure all the business info you enter matches your EIN info the government has on file *exactly*. Like every comma, period, apostrophe, etc.
    • Refer to your CP575 document to help
    • If you’ve changed address or other listed info since registering your EIN, do not enter that new info unless you have updated the info with the IRS and they have that matching info on file for your EIN. You want to ensure the info you submit matches exactly what is listed on your EIN paperwork.
  • Make sure you are sending in compliance (people are explicitly opting in, intro message includes identification of who is sending and tells them how they can opt out) and provide links to your opt-in forms so they can click and see you have a checkbox on the form for people to confirm they are opting into SMS, or that your chat widget lets them know their phone number will be used to reply via SMS, etc.
  • If you aren’t sure about something, do not submit the application until you confirm all details. You cannot edit your application. You will have to wait for it to be denied and then re-apply.
  • Approval can take some time, especially if anything is flagged for manual review. Current wait times for manual review are 5-6 weeks.

Registering Through Twilio Trust Hub

  1. Type Trust Hub in the search bar and click on Trust Hub. This will bring you to the Trust Hub Overview page.
  2. Click on the Go to A2P Messaging button.

  3. This is a three step process, you will first Create Your Business Profile, then you will register your brand, finally you will register your campaign use case.
  4. Click on Register for A2P
  5. Enter your US EIN or Tax ID number exactly as it appears on the CP575 letter. Click Search.
  6. When your company information comes up, select Autofill this information and click save and continue.
  7. Check over your business name and continue.
  8. Check over your business address and continue.
  9. For your business identity, most users will chose Direct Customer. The exception to this is if you are an agency and are going to be reselling Twilio to your clients, where you would choose ISV, Reseller or Partner.
  10. Fill in the rest of the business information and continue.
  11. Enter your Authorized Representative information, confirm that you can be reached out to by Twilio and hit save and continue.
  12. Ensure that the correct email is entered for notifications and hit save and continue.
  13. Review all of the information entered for the business profile and when it is, check the box that says that you confirm that it is correct and hit submit.

Register US A2P Brand

  1. Select your company type.
  2. Agree to the one-time brand registration fee.
  3. Confirm Registration. Read the disclaimers and confirm again.
  4. It may take a few minutes for the A2P Registration to be approved. When it does, it will show your TCR score and any limits. Select Continue

Register Your Campaign Use Cases

  1. Select Create a New Messenger Service.
  2. Enter your Friendly Name for your campaign and select what you will be using the campaign for.
  3. Search for and select the number that you wish to assign to this campaign. Read and agree to terms and Click Add Phone Number.
  4. Fill in the information for Register Campaign Use Case.
    1. For available A2P campaign use cases, you will choose either Mixed or Low-Volume Mixed. Low Volume Mixed is for under 3,000 messages per day. Mixed is over 3,000 messages per day.

  5. Select Register Use Case. Read the information presented and confirm.
  6. Once you are registered, you will see a Congratulations screen and you can review all of your information.
  7. If you go back to the A2P Messaging page, you should see verified on all three boxes for the three steps you completed.
