Set Up Your User & Business Profiles
There are a few key areas of your profile to customize:
- Signature - this is what will appear when you use the user signature variables in workflows and broadcast emails
- Note 1: The signature that appears in workflow emails is based on the assigned user in the workflow. However, the signature that appears in scheduled/dripped broadcast emails is based on the user who is scheduling the email. So if multiple users are scheduling broadcasts and you are using the email signature variable for your email footer, you will want all of those users to have that email footer in their signature.
- Note 2: If you are using the built-in system email unsubscribe custom value in your email signature, it will only work when the signature is used in workflow emails, not when the signature is used in emails sent from the template/campaign builder - you need to add the unsubscribe custom value directly to the email template/campaign instead. We have provided email templates with that custom value already linked in the footer.
- Timezone, Availability, and Meeting Link
- For use with calendars.
- Note: You also want to set the timezone in the Business Profile (first tab within Settings). This is the default timezone FG Funnels will use for your workflows, scheduling emails, and other time-based events in the system.
- Any other details of your profile or business profile tat you would like to customize.
Setting Up Your User Profile in FG Funnels
Make sure to click the blue update or save button in each box after making changes in order to save your changes.
- Access User Profile Settings
- Navigate to the dashboard.
- Click on the Settings menu located in the bottom left-hand corner.
- Select My Profile.
- Update Personal Data
- In the Personal Data section:
- Upload a profile image (if desired).
- Enter your First Name and Last Name.
- Update your Email (note: changing this will also change your login email).
- Update your Phone Number (note: this will be used for two-factor authentication)
- Click Update Profile after you make changes.
- In the Personal Data section:
- Change Password
- Locate the Change Password box.
- Enter your current password and the new password.
- Click the Update Password button to save changes.
- Set Up Email Signature
- In the Email Signature section you can set up a signature or email footer that can be added to the bottom of your emails.
- What you choose to include in your footer is up to you, however many people add their name and email address.
- You can add your mailing address as part of compliance with the Can-Spam Act or other privacy laws. Enter your desired signature details (name, email, mailing address, etc.).
- You can add a link to your unsubscribe option using the {{email.unsubscribe_link}} custom value and you can hyperlink this in the text of unsubscribe.
- Toggle on Enable Signature on All Outgoing Messages for automatic inclusion in direct emails from the Conversations or Contacts tab. You will still need to use the {{user.email_signature}} custom value in order to populate the signature in workflows.
- In the Email Signature section you can set up a signature or email footer that can be added to the bottom of your emails.
- Calendar Settings
- In the Calendar Settings section you can:
- Link your calendar accounts (Google, Outlook, or iCal). For more information, visit Calendar Configuration - Primary Calendar & Check for Conflicts.
- Set your Time Zone to provide accurate booking times.
- Define your Available Hours for bookings.
- In the Calendar Settings section you can:
- User Availability
- Set your Meeting Location (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) for appointments. For more information, visit Zoom Integration for Users' Calendar Bookings
- Notification Preferences
Navigate to the Notifications tab.
Set preferences for:
- Conversations
- Task notifications
- New reviews
Setting Up Your Business Profile in FG Funnels
Accessing Your Business Profile
- Go to Settings in FG Funnels.
- The business profile is the first tab or screen that appears.
2. General Information
- Friendly Business Name: The name your business is known as within FG Funnels.
- Legal Business Name: The registered name of your business with the government (if different).
- Business Email: A general email for business communications (can be your business email or a more generic business email).
- Business Phone: A general contact number for the business.
- Branded Domain: Used for invoices and calendar links; if not set, defaults to links.fgfunnels.com. To set your branded domain, you can visit How to Configure Brand System-Generated Links
- API Key: Available for retrieval within this section.
3. Physical Address and Time Zone
- Business Physical Address: Ensure this is filled out accurately.
- Time Zone: Set the correct time zone to avoid issues with calendars, bookings, and workflows.
4. Additional Information
- Authorized Representative: Important if using LC Phone.
There are additional sections that can be reviewed but focus on the general information and physical address as the most critical components.
