Facebook/Instagram Comments + Workflow AI

We have the "Respond on Comment" action. In this action you can enter multiple predefined comment options, but what if you want to tailor your comments based on the comment of the user. This is possible now using the GPT action.

Important:

  • The "Instagram - Comment(s) On A Post" workflow trigger does not work for boosted posts due to limitations in Meta/Instagram's API.
  • You would need to manually monitor Ad comments by using Meta Business Suite → Inbox to see if you have received any new comments on your boosted Instagram posts, and manually reply or DM them as needed.

Steps to Set Up this Automation:


  1. Use the "Facebook - Comment(s) On A Post" or "Instagram - Comment(s) On A Post" workflow trigger.


  1. Add a "GPT powered by OpenAI" action.


  1. In the "GPT powered by OpenAI" action, select the "Action Type" as Custom and write the Prompt about how you want your response on the comment.



  1. From the custom value picker select the Facebook or Instagram Comment body and Save the action.




  1. Now add the add a "Reply in Comments" action.


  1. In the response field from the custom value picker select the response from the GPT action.
