How to Setup Email Forwarding

Email replies from your subscribers / contacts can be forwarded to a different email address:

How to setup email forwarding:

  1. Go Settings ( bottom corner of the left side menu )
  2. Go to Email Services.
  3. Click on the "Reply & Forward Settings" tab
    1. Here you will see Forwarding Address, BCC Emails, and a toggle for Forward to assigned user.
  4. In the “Forwarding Address” field, you would enter your email address, then press enter on your keyboard.
    1. Email replies from your contacts will be sent to your chosen email inbox, and will also be viewable on their contact record directly, and under the "Conversations" section of your FGF account.
    2. You can use more than one email address separated by a comma.
    3. Leave “Forward to assigned user” toggled off. Toggling this feature on will allow a email to also be sent to the specific user assigned to each lead /contact, so they receive the email replies within their user email inbox (outside FGF).
    4. BCC emails: You will receive a copy of every email that is sent from your FG Funnels account. We do not recommend entering an email address here; because this will double your email cost.
  5. Click “Save” to save your changes.

*Important Notes:

With the forwarding address setup, if you reply to an email from a lead directly in your email inbox (Ex: yourname@yourbusinessname.com) , it will not sync back into the system. Which means the reply message from your contact/email subscriber will show inside of the “Conversations” section of your FGF account, for each contact, but if you respond to them from your Gmail inbox, for example, then your message will not show inside of FG Funnels.

So, this would break the flow of conversation under the "Conversations" section of your FGF account, and on the contact record.

If you enter a "Reply Address" email replies from your contacts will go straigt to the email inbox connected to the email address you enter in this field. The email replies will not show on the contact record, or in the "Conversation" section of your account.
