Using The Go-To Event In Workflows
The Go-To event allows you to jump contacts from one event to another in Workflows. To use a Go-To step, add a Go-To event and then draw a line to where you want the contacts to jump - that's it!
Key Steps
1. Introduction to Go-To Action
- Understand that the go-to action allows you to jump a contact to a specific step within a workflow.
- This is particularly useful for sending reminder emails for subscription products.
2. Set Up Trigger for Subscription 0:14
- Create a trigger for when someone purchases a subscription.
- Assign the trigger to a user.
3. Add Wait Step 0:23
- Insert a wait step where the contact will wait for 350 days before receiving a reminder email.
4. Create Reminder Email 0:32
- After the wait step, set up the payment reminder email to notify the contact about the upcoming payment due in 15 days.
5. Insert Go-To Action 0:48
- Click the plus sign to add a new action.
- Search for and select the go-to action.
6. Save the Action 1:00
- Save the go-to action after selecting it.
7. Choose Destination Step 1:09
- Select the wait step as the destination where the customer will return after receiving the reminder email.
8. Visualize Workflow 1:47
- Ensure the dotted line connects the go-to action to the wait step, indicating the flow of the workflow.
9. Confirm Workflow Process 2:08
- Verify that the customer will wait for 350 days, receive the reminder email, and then go back to the wait step to repeat the process.
10. Reach Out for Questions 2:23
- If there are any questions or clarifications needed, contact support via chat or email.
Cautionary Notes
- Ensure that the wait times and email content are accurate to avoid confusion for the contacts.
- Regularly review the workflow to ensure it is functioning as intended.
Tips for Efficiency
- Test the workflow with a sample contact to ensure all steps are working correctly before going live.
