Detailed Video Breakdown of the Default Dashboard Widgets
Overview of the Dashboard
The Date Range filter is based on the Date Created of the leads by default.
So the "Opportunity Status" view above shows the 71 opportunities which were created between July 1st 2021 to August 2nd 2nd are in an "OPEN" status.
If you only want to see the number of leads who opt-in within a specific date range, you could click on the date range menu, which is highlighted in red in the image above. Then click on the start date and the end date, of the date range you want to see data for.
Conversion Rate = the number of leads in the WON status divided by the total number of leads that opted-in.
You'll see the total number of leads in the "Opportunity Status" widget.
In the Funnel widget, the WON section at the bottom of the list is added automatically by the system. So you don't need to create a WON stage to keep track of leads who are set to a status of WON.
The percentage on the right for the "Watched Webinar (Hosted Video Only)" stage means that 96.88% of the leads who entered the "Example Evergreen Webinar Pipeline" will move forward to the "Watched Webinar (Hosted Video Only)" stage.
96.88% of the leads who entered the "Example Evergreen Webinar Pipeline" will move forward to the "Abandoned Cart" stage.
34.38% of the leads who entered the "Example Evergreen Webinar Pipeline" will move forward to the " Purchased Main Product" stage.
The way the system builds the pipeline is like a sales stage. E.g. If we had a pipeline for stages like Elementary school, High school, University. If the person is in the University stage, the system will increase the number of leads in the stage for Elementary and High school by 1 because the system assumes that the person has been to those stages.
So if you like to track the leads who are still currently in the "Abandoned Cart" stage, it doesn't make sense to refer to the Funnel chart because that would mean that 96.88% of the leads who joined the "Example Evergreen Webinar Pipeline" will move forward to the "Abandoned Cart" stage.
In fact, it should be 28.17% instead of 96.88% because 20 leads abandoned their cart. The other 11 leads ( which make up the 96.88% ) are marked as WON. When the lead is marked as WON, the number of leads on all stages will be increased by 1 because the system assumes the lead went through all the steps to purchase the product.
If you want to refer to the Funnel chart, each pipeline stage should be one step closer to sale, like Prospect > Survey submitted > Consultation > Purchase
If you want to keep track of stages such as an "Abandoned Cart" , you could refer to the Stages Distribution Chart.
The chart above simply shows the number of leads who are currently in each stages.
Please Note: If the status is not set to "Open" on the opportunity card, the opportunity will not show in the custom stage you created.
The opportunity will show in the system generated "Lost / Abandoned" stage at the bottom, if the opportunity is set to a status of "Lost" or "Abandoned."
The opportunity will show in the system generated stage of "Won" at the bottom, if the opportunity is set to a status of "Won"
If you want to track how many leads have been to each stage, you could enable "Allow Duplicate Opportunity" so if the lead has been to the "Abandoned Cart" stage, it will leave an opportunity card there.
Make sure that the "Add / Update Opportunity" workflow action also has "Allow Duplicate Opportunities" toggle ON.
