How to Set Up an Online Store ( E-Commerce Store ) in FG Funnels

What is an Online Store?

An online store is a virtual platform that allows businesses to sell products or services to customers globally. It enables customers to browse, select, and purchase items from the comfort of their own homes using a computer or mobile device.

Setting Up Your Online Store

Let's walk through the steps of setting up and using your own Online Store in FG Funnels.


1. Create and Configure Products to Display in the Online Store


You will be able to create and configure store products under Payments > Products. This will allow configuring Product names, and descriptions, attaching product images and videos, defining the pricing, and configuring variants, if any. 2. Activating and Editing Your Online Store on Your Website

An online store can be added both to an existing website, as well as to a new website being created from scratch. There are two ways to create an online store.


1) You can add a store to the website you already built. You will have the option to activate an online store by clicking on the "+" icon to add elements inside the website builder.

  1. Go to "Sites" on the left side menu.


  1. Go to "Websites" on the top menu.


  1. Select the website you want to add an online store to.


  1. Click the "Edit" button to open the website inside of the website builder.


  1. Click on the "+" symbol to open the elements menu.


  1. Click on the "Store" element in the menu.

  1. Click on the "+ Add to Site" button.


  1. You will see a pop up that lets you know the system is adding the 5 pages for your online store. The pop up will look like this:

Then you will be taken to a screen similar to this one:


When an online store is added to a website, 5 pages are added by default to the website which will form the building blocks for your store. You will be able to add any other kind of elements around the store elements that will help you in giving an overall customized experience to your customers that suits your business needs. The 5 pages are:


  1. Products List

    - This will contain the element to showcase all your products or services to your customers.


  2. Product Details

    - This will allow the presentation of rich text product descriptions that contain useful information which is beneficial while making a purchase.


  3. Cart

    - This will allow customers to have a summary of the items they intend to purchase, and add or remove any items / services before proceeding to checkout.


  4. Checkout

    - This will allow the potential leads / customers to enter their shipping information, email, and other details, apply any coupon codes, and make an online payment using a debit / credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.


  5. Thank You!

    - This will allow you to display an order confirmation automatically after the payment is successfully made for the purchase.

You will be able to format the elements added by default to match the brand aesthetics of your overall website. Each element will have "General" and "Advanced" settings for formatting.


2) You can create a brand new store from scratch - OR - use an online store template.


( 1 ) This first option goes over creating a online store by using a template.

  1. Go to "Sites" on the left side menu.


  1. Go to "Stores" on the top menu.


  1. Click on " + New Site" to create a brand new website.


4. Click on the radio button next to "From Templates" to create a brand new website from an e-commerce store website template. Then click "Continue" to use this option.


5. Hover over the template you want, then click on the "eye" icon to select it.


6. Click "Continue" to load the template into your account, and pull it up in the builder.


7. You will see a popup similar to the one below, as the template is being loaded into your account.


8. Then, the template will automatically open up in the builder.

  1. Go to "Sites" on the left side menu.


  1. Go to "Stores" on the top menu.


  1. Click on " + New Site" to create a brand new website.


  1. Click on the radio button next to "From Blank" to create a brand new website from an e-commerce store website template. Enter a name for your store in the "Store Name" field. Then click "Continue" to use this option.


  1. Then, you'll see a popup similar to this one:


  1. Then the system will take you to a screen similar to the one below, where you can click the blue "Edit" button on any of the pages to begin editing your online store.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)


Can I sell recurring / subscription products in my online store?

Yes, store owners can now sell their subscription based services or recurring products in their online stores.


I have attached multiple images of my products and services. Is there a way I can set the default images for each variant?

Yes, you can select a specific image for each variant, by clicking on the preview image tile on the left of each variant option.


I have created a store for test purposes. How do I delete it now?

You will be able to delete a store by deleting any of the automatically added online store pages. If you confirm, all data related to the store will be lost. Here is our article going over how to delete an online store: How to Delete an Online Store


Yes, you will be able to customize the price of each variant. By default, the price of each variant will be the first price you entered when you created the product.


How do I mark the orders created as fulfilled? How do I share shipment details with my customer?

You will be able to fulfill items inside the "order details" and attach a tracking number/URL to automatically send shipping updates to your customers.


Can I create multiple stores within the same FG Funnels account?

Yes, you will be able to create multiple stores within the same FG Funnels account.


Can I create an online store in both funnels/websites?

No, an online store can only be configured inside a website. In funnels, you will still be able to sell products using order forms.


How do I setup shipping for my products?
