[ A2P ] Step 7 : Set Up the Opt-in Webpage
Important: For a complete overview of all steps and best practices involved in the A2P 10DLC registration process, please refer to the main article: "A2P 10DLC Campaign Approval Best Practices."
Create and publish a webpage where people can fill out a form and consent checkboxes to receive text messages from you. This will need to be a live page because it will be reviewed by a real human who works for the US Mobile Carriers and The Campaign Registry (TCR).
Website Requirements:
Your website must have:
- Your domain connected to it.
- Your business' "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Service" linked in the footers of your:
- Website pages
- Forms
- Website pages and SEO Meta Data that is customized with your business info [ Including your business logo and legal business name].
- A very clear message on:
- Exactly what you do as a business.
- What specific services you perform or provide, and products you sell.
- How people can contact your business (real email, address, functioning links).
FG Funnels has multiple design collections that contain a 5-page website template you can use the template to create your website and opt-in page.

Using a Subdomain
The US Mobile Carriers and The Campaign Registry (TCR) do allow subdomains (e.g. form.website.com) to be used for an A2P registration, but they need to understand two things:
-
How the subdomain relates to the primary brand.
If website.com and form.website.com present very different brands, that is going to block campaigns unless the relationship is made very clear.
-
How users get to the opt-in page.
Simply stating that form.website.com is where opt-in happens, without showing how people find that page, creates risk of rejection. If the path is clearly shown (for example, email marketing, social posts, paid ads, or navigation from the main site), subdomains are fine. Otherwise it can look like the subdomain exists only as a compliance “front,” which leads to rejections.
Subdomain Readiness Checklist
- Brand Match: Does the subdomain generally match your overall brand (name, logo, look, feel)?
- Discovery Path: Is it obvious how users get to the subdomain (email, social, ads or navigation)?
- CTIA & Use-Case: Does the page have all the right CTIA disclosures, and appropriate use-case?
If all three answers are Yes, you’re good to proceed with A2P registration using the subdomain.
Important Note: Even if you choose use a subdomain for the opt-in page you'll still need to make sure to update all of the pages and forms on your main domain to make sure they are A2P compliant. The US Mobile Carriers and The Campaign Registry (TCR) will have human validators review your A2P Campaign, and they may check any page on your domain, not just the subdomain URL you submit. To make your main domain is fully compliant, make sure to:
- Add a A2P compliant privacy policy and terms of service to your main domain.
- Ensure every form on your main domain that collects phone numbers includes the two A2P compliant consent checkboxes.
- Remove all generic placeholder links from your main domain, such as app.fgfunnels.com, or LeadConnector links.
- Make sure the privacy policy and terms of service are consistent across your main domain and all subdomains.
